Passivity is Death

Time waits for no one… or so the saying leads us to believe. So why should we wait for time to come? Does it make any sense to plan for the future when the present is all we have to work with? NO! A thousand times or a high resolution shot of death staring at you from within a cracked and smudged mirror! Now is the time to move! What do you want? No, really what do you want? Think grand! What will it take for you to get it? Then go get it! With a discernible objective and a rough estimate of the tools it will take to accomplish that objective, what is left for us to do but succeed? Maybe one day I will look back on this and consider it hocus pocus for the person I will be then, but for right now, I need this.

This post was a stream of consciousness rant at myself after looking at the clock for the millionth time tonight and telling myself in a disapproving tone that I must go to bed soon. Then i realized that going to bed with all these ideas untraced would result in my waking up with very little on my plate but much on my mind. I hope that along my journey to fruition of my own dreams of success, you see something on the branch that inspires, challenges, and motivates you. Share your thoughts, constructive criticisms, and fishing tips with me and let’s make this life a beautiful thing!

I wanted to know the best level of ripeness to cook the plantain at, so I took a meandering journey through the Wikipedia labyrinth and have now decided that I’ll eventually plant at least three varieties of banana: the small Thais, red bananas, and plantains. I need an almanac. or a geotagged timechart for planting and harvesting fruits at this latitude. or a green thumb. Actually, I’ll go with the combo and really make this fun.

listening to the “THE TREE – NO GOOD WOMAN”, I was struck by how similar it is to THE STARFIRES’ sound. any ideas on other bands with similar sounds? (I know I could pandora/music tag/last.fm this, but I’d like to hear human responses.
